Dec 16th 2011 4:38PM This country's biggest claim is that it is supposed to be a "free" country. That means "free" to restrict or to permit. Denying someone's freedom because you consider your freedom more important is not freedom. As of late, several institutions in the US are trying to end our freedom, including radical churches, the Tea Party, and even our own government. If we don't hold the line somewhere, there will no longer be a line.
Mar 29th 2011 6:28PM When will the English and small minded Americans get over this archaic left over from the dark ages. The only royalty that means anything these days is the wealthy, and anyone who has been keeping up with events knows for a fact that the wealthy are doing whatever they can to destroy the middle class to increase the fortunes of the wealthy. Until the citizens start opening their eyes and minds, some or another form of royalty will attempt to rule.
Mar 4th 2011 6:16PM Our current president, our last president, the one before him, and no doubt several others at one time smoked pot. George W. not only smoked pot, he did cocain and was also an alcoholic. Any of you who think denying someone a job just because they smoked pot is a hypocrit. And Bob is correct, you are no doubt also a completly boring person who doesn't believe in evolution. Pot should not be illegal in the first place and was only declared so because of reasons that had nothing to do with getting high. So get off my cloud.
Mar 2nd 2011 2:11PM Excellent idea. I see bicycle riders breaking the driving laws every day, and they often act as if people who drive cars owe them something. NOT! People who drive cars pay for the roads they drive on, and bicycle riders should get no special privilidges. In Oregon, the bicycle people are organized and they get all kinds of our tax dollars for bike lanes that they often don't even use. Instead, they ride on streets crowded with motorists and hold up traffic due only to their vanity. I used to ride a bike to work every day, but I didn't get obnoxious about it or cause motorists a problem.
Feb 15th 2011 2:01PM How did we go from the evil nurse to the censorship of posts. The nurse should be put in prison, so that takes care of that. As for censorship of posts, it seems to me hit or miss policy. Some days they censor me, and some days they don't. I am an intelligent, compassionate human being, so naturally I'm a liberal. I don't forget that it was the Republicans and Bush who got the country into so much financial trouble, although a lot of people do forget and blame Obama for what he has no choice but to do. People who voted for the Tea Party to address their concerns simply tried to use gasoline to put out a fire. Perhaps if the racist Republicans had some ideas rather than only an agenda to insult a black president, things would get done other than giving the richest Americans a big tax break.
Jan 30th 2011 12:09AM I agree with the people who think people who have babies are responsible for following the rules or should take a bus next time. On one flight I was on, the people behind me had a 2 or 3 year old that kept kicking my seat, so I finally asked the people to do something about their kid. They acted like I was some kind of monster for wanting to enjoy my plane ride rather than be a victum of their inability to control their kid. I don't have a kid to bother you with, and I don't think you have more rights than I do because you do have a kid.
Jan 27th 2011 1:57PM Despite the fact that he was initially funded by his rich dad, Trump has never really succeeded at any business venture he has tried. Because he is well known, the banks bail Trump out every time one of his idiotic ideas fails. Why anyone would think that Trump is any good at business could only be because they know nothing of Trump's consistent business failures.
Dec 27th 2010 5:06PM I had an expensive telescope in my luggage on a trip to Hawaii, and it was missing when I got there. I called the airport, and they told me to call the carrier, which was United. I couldn't get ahold of any live beings, only recorded messages promosing a return call. I never got a return call after leaving messages three times, and never talked to anyone about the theft. Subsuquently, I read an article in the paper about how theft is becoming more and more common by airport employees since the government took over. Thank you George Bush, who although not expected to think, should have at least known better than to put in civil servants.
Dec 6th 2010 4:30PM Anyone defending the dog owner in this case is simply demonstrating their own selfishness and inconsiderate attitude. There is already such an overpopulation of unwanted dogs that they are becoming synonymous with vermin.
