Jul 8th 2012 11:39AM And why no fines for tupperware parties, homesales, avon parties. Maybe they are only targeting this guy for his religious activities.
Jul 8th 2012 11:34AM He does make one valid point. If this is a fire or safety hazard then why don't they crack down on football and other sports parties where large crowds gather to celebrate or backyard family events. This seems a bit fishy.
Apr 29th 2011 9:55AM They seem to be a nice down to earth couple. And personally I would rather watch this wedding than hear about Michelle Obama's "fake" style. She has none. Or the Prez with all his celebrity and sports guests. Please!!! How about some down to earth behavior at the White House. It's the peoples house but apparently regular peasants don't get invited.
Apr 8th 2011 1:48PM I don't particularly care for Trump and would never vote for him for President. However I would like Obama to show his birth certificate. And no I am not racist. Recently I had to send off to another state for birthcertificates for both of my sons because they were about to change jobs and could not get hired without one. The certificate of live birth from the hospital was worthless. So if you need a real birth certificate to get a regular job isn't it more important to have a real birth certificate to hold the highest job in the country. So show the darn thing and put the whole matter to rest once and for all and stop calling it a race issue. That is so lame.
Feb 19th 2011 7:00PM I guess I'm seeing something different because to me what Iyanla was just doing business. You know either there was going to be a show or she goes with someone else. She clearly wanted to work with Oprah first and Oprah dropped the ball. As far as being in control here I don't think she was that is why she had her on the show. Once the book came out people knew Iyanla side already. Oprah has changed so much over the last few years. She wants to be the Queen of the spiritual life and I think she saw Iyanla as a competitor in that regard. Only room for one at the top.
Dec 28th 2010 11:16AM To Dennis W. If you look back at what I wrote you will see I said nothing about consoling Amber. She definitely needs help. But so does Gary. I said they both need counseling or therapy. Something. Whether you like these two or not they are young and the parents of an innocent child. Putting the child in foster care wouldn't be much different. There are alot of physically, emotionally, and sexually abusive people who get into foster care and damage the kids just as bad. Not all of the foster parents are like that but a lot are. So helping these two to grow up and be responsible parents even if they don't stay together to me seems like the best choice. And no I did not say only men abuse. Women who abuse should be punished as well. But I don't see a woman in Amber. She is still a child herself and needs help in handling her anger and making better decisions for her life.
Dec 28th 2010 9:52AM It's so easy to judge other people's mistakes and so difficult to face up to our own. No one is perfect. Face reality. I agree that the girl needs some help especially in the anger management dept. but I remember that episode and if you paid close attention to what was really going on you would see that Gary who knows her temper was deliberately baiting her so she would explode. He doesn't want her to move on without him, he's afraid of losing his daughter and he manipulated the situation so he could have an excuse to take the baby and upset her. They are both immature and maybe with some actual therapy or counseling they might still make it as a family. I hope for the best for the baby's sake.
Dec 19th 2010 8:56AM Not so strange. Maybe the kids had a bit of stage nerves and the masks gave them the confidence to perform. You can be anybody behind the mask. It feels safer and you forget your fears. And having the audience support them added to the feeling of safety.
Nov 13th 2010 10:23AM Okay, this is in English because I don't speak spanish. I really back this new governor. She has her head on straight and is trying to do what is everyones's best interest. Keep the trouble-makers out but do not penalize the good Mexican population. My experience when living in El Paso was that the Mexican people were the nicest, most friendly and helpful people I have ever met in my life but what is happening there now is horrible and must not be allowed to continue for the sake of both the spanish and anglo population. Put good, strong laws into effect and enforce them. At first some may not want to come here but eventually when the worst element see there is no welcome mat out for them it will once more be appealing for the good mexican people to make a home here. Maybe I'm rambling, I don't mean to. I'm just saying to the people who want to live here...give us some time to fix a situation that is bad for us all...and then give us another try. In spite of the anger...many of us would still welcome you.
May 21st 2010 9:06PM Your child is obviously smarter than you are and knows the danger that is in the world where if you steal a car you can get 5 yrs but if you abuse or steal a child's innocence you get maybe 6mo. and a slap on the wrist. This is an entirely different world today. Just because Mommy wants some alone time doesn't mean leave the kids to fend for themselves.
