Apr 19th 2011 3:03PM Freeloaders? The people writing here have no idea of the workload placed on every member of the royal family. They are required to represent the country 24/7. The intrusion on thier lives is constant.
The prince's mother was an extraordinary woman who seems to have raised extraordinary sons despite the fact that they lost her so early in their lives. Both of the princes, who have enough money to provide for them for 10 lifetimes and don't need to work a day in thier lives, have commited to serving in the military and have insisted on being placed on the front lines like thier comrades.
I know that people like Jerry Seinfeld want to say that "these are not special people". But he is wrong. Mr. Seinfeld can make money and may have fame FOR A TIME. But to an entire nation, each of these young men ARE special, were special from the moment of birth, and will be special until the moment they die.
Jan 23rd 2011 3:53PM I think that he voiced what a lot of people think. The first lady is supposed to reprsent the country. And it is joke. She represents a country which she has said she "has never been proud of in all her adult life". She has horrendous fashion choices. MOre importantly, she doesn't even think to wear American creations because she does not care a whit about this counntry or its citizens. It is all about HER and HIM - and certainly not about US, the American people. I cannot wait until these two finally vacate the White House.
Nov 7th 2010 9:19AM I think that Elizabeth is absolutely right! YOu can walk in and vote under someone else's name. It is crazy. I live in Connecticut and where I live, I was asked for ID. It is not an issue of race - how would you feel if you went to vote and found that someone else went in and was told that someone claiming to be you (they did not have to show ID) already cast a vote using your name?
Oct 14th 2010 4:35PM This is so typical of Joy and Whoopi. They say everyone has a right to their opinion but they mean that everyone has a right to have the same opinion as them. Anytime anyone disagrees with them they behave like children and throw a temper tantrum. Does it surprise me that they stormed off because a big bad Republican had a different point of view? Of course not! Elizabeth is the only one on the show who is not left wing and look at the abuse she takes from them! If she leaves I will never tune in again...
Sep 20th 2010 5:10PM I can't believe that the press is till doing this... A woman used wiccan things at 15 and the Democratic Liberal media harps on it only because she is Republican. I don't know a single person who didn't use a Ouija Board as a teenager. GET OVER IT!!!
Sep 8th 2010 1:43PM Once again - the liberal democrat hypocrasy. Democrats will cry all about rights and how conservative, Christian Republicans are awful to pick on teen moms because everyone is able to make mistakes (except, apparently, if you are the child of a Republican). This girl did not ask to be a "star". As for her being a pregnant single mother - I can recite a list of "stars" who got pregnant as teens and are unmarried but the media and Democrats never say a thing about them... Ashley Spears, Brittany Spears, Nicole Richie, Ashley Simpson, and older sinlge moms like Naomia Watts, Minnie Driver, etc (I could go on forever)... But again, the Dems have no grudge against their mothers and the Democrats standard seems that it is only appropriate to pick on CHILDREN and TEENAGERS whose parents you do not like... How noble and grown up of you...
Sep 8th 2010 12:18PM It is amazing to me that Bristol Palin has to be picked on once again not because of anything she has ever done to harm a single person but because people do not like her mother! Is her dress modest? I don't know, it has as much coverage as most of the other woman. And it is at least 4 times as much coverage as Audrina Partridge's and I don't hear anyone asking if Ms. Partridge's is "modest". Oh - I forgot. The cowardly left wing media is not trying to harm Ms. Partridge's mom...
May 26th 2010 9:11AM Unbelievable!
When I heard that Obama was NOT going to the services at Arlington Memorial Cemetary, I was amazed (my mistake apparently) that the left-wing press was not reporting on it. If any Republican president did that, he'd have been skewered...
And here they are putting the spin on it... We are fighting 2 wars, the economy is in serious trouble and the man has taken more vacations than any other president in the last 50 years. He could have returned to Chicago during any of his dozen vacations. But no, he has to do it now for Memorial Day weekend. And rather than see it for the slap in the face to our military that it is, the press is trying to make it about "the kids".
I am not buying it anymore. Enough is enough. I cannot wait to vote this man out of office. As for the left-wing, biased press, in case you have not noticed you are already being voted out of office. Newspapers are struggling to survive, and the only TV news program with a growing audience is Fox.
Apr 21st 2010 12:45PM I rarely weigh in but I wonder why anyone gave this story so much press.
I side with Disney. When you have a children's theme park with employees who dress as characters you have to draw a line. Children will be drawn to adults they think are "characters". It is a safety issue.
As a parent, it actually gives me comfort that they enforced the policy. It is right up there with a 4 year old can't go in the haunted mansion alone... If keeping 100 million kids safe means that an adult who should know better won't get to wear a $30 wedding dress on a day that she is not getting married so be it...
As as for the "humiliation" she felt - you have to be kidding me! Grow up!
Sep 16th 2009 9:46AM That is wrong. There is another US citizen who won the Nobel Peace Prize. John Pastore, Jr. won it in the late 1980's.
