Trouble Blooms: Condo Board Sues Resident Over Flowers

Mar 20th 2012 3:36PM Her flowers are vry pretty and look professionaly done...but ...that is not the point. HOA can be a royal pain in the butt, but it helps to keep property value up. So the next neighbor decides to plant some really high plants that look horrible...where does one draw the line. As for being told by the developer that she could plant flowers, I think the article said this would be temporary. She should have known the rules before she moved in.

I'm Home! Adult Children Moving Back In

Nov 14th 2011 2:24PM I was one of those people years ago that thought it was terrible for your adult children to live with you...well things have changed.

I have a daughter and son in law with my 4 grandchildren tat live in Taiwan. Then my youngest daughter is legally blind, is married with a 4/yo and a 19/mo, and her husband is getting ready to go to Iraq in a week. He is a contracter and will be gone for another year. I can honestly say, I enjoy them here. They come and go at their pleasure and so do we. Daughter helps the best that she can, and I just love having the granddaughters here. There are days and I stop and think what would the 2 of us do all day long without them. We know the house is being taken care of when we go away, and when they go some where, we have the girls. We do not take advantage of each other, and they pay half of everything. When son in law get a raise, he raises his rent. We don't have to ask for a thing. Maybe some people have raised kids that feel entitled to have parents wait on them forever, but mine are not one of them. We are all blessed!!!

It's No Secret: Stars With Hair Extensions

Jun 22nd 2011 9:43PM I was hopeing that some one would talk about the extensions. I have a thyroid problem and it has caused my hair to thin on the top. I refuse to go around like I see some women...bald on top. I am not bald, but thinning. Can extensions be attached to the thinning hair to make it look fuller? Is there a hair dresser out there. Also how expensive are these extensions?

Neon State of Mind: The Little Bright Dress

Jun 18th 2011 3:49PM I agree this will never replace the little black dress. I am a former Home Ec teacher and had many hours of clothing slection classes...this in no way makes me an expert! But some of the trash they come up with now days is just that TRASH! The girl modeling this dress did nothing to make it or herself look good. I don't want to say anything bad about this girls looks as this is not what is supposed to be discussed. Even the dress...I have seen better looking at Goodwill. Some one is always trying to come up with something better...but this time, just leave the little black dress alone!!!!

'Style Guy' Glenn O'Brien Talks Fashion, Art, Music and Andy Warhol

May 25th 2011 8:52AM I sooooo agree about not showing your underwear!!! I am so sick of seeing men's cracks and women who go around with their bra straps showing. What is wrong with you, didn't anyone teach you any better? I think in school they should bring back Home Ec classes with clothing selection. Your underpants and bra's are just that...underwear and should be worn as such!!!!

Candy Colored Pants & Polka Dots: Celebrity Looks of the Week

Serena Williams in a Purple Cocktail Dress: Our Look of the Day

Apr 20th 2011 10:08AM The dress is kinda pretty. The sleeves do not look good with this dress. She said she doesn't like her arms, but this dress draws attention to them big time. This dress looks better on her than some of the stuff she has worn!

Turban Road Test: We Hit the NYC Streets

Mar 25th 2011 2:19PM Why be so lazy and fix your hair! GEEEE when you ake the rag off your hair will look twice as bad...but then you may not care what you look like!!!

Reese Witherspoon: Style Evolution

Mar 22nd 2011 8:39AM I think that Reese gets more beautiful the older she gets...then again 35 is still young :)

To bad her ex-Ryan doesn't get any better. My daughter graduated with him, and he was a smart....then. He had a good thing with Reese, but couldn't keep his pants zipped. He was the loser!

I Was Evacuated from Egypt

Feb 4th 2011 8:27PM Our whole family was planning to go to Egypt this summer, but it looks as if all plans are off now. I would never go to a country where there is such chaios. My son in law is from Egypt....a Christian, and not muslim....and I really love the country. I never in my wildest dreams ever thought I would go out of our country. I have a married daughter, and she and her husband are missionaries in Taiwan. We did visit there for 2 weeks, but it takes so long to get there I don't think we will ever go back. Egypt is a beautiful place, and for the most part, the people are gracious. You do see the proverty there as you do in most foreign countries. Going down the street in Cairo you see new cars and right along side of them, you will see a sheep-herder. So, it is a combination of the new and old. I can see why they would like this dictator out. For the most part, the people are scared into submission. You see police everywhere, and they stop you all the time to ask for documents on who you are and where you are going. They can just pull out their night sticks and beat you anytime they wish. Going to the American embassy is a night mare for most Egyptians. These muslims that run the American Embassy are so hateful and degrating to people it is not funny. I just could not understand why (American thoughts) anyone would be afraid to go to the Embassy until my daughter and son in law went . Son in law was coming on a K1 visa, and they were given a hard time. But, if you are any terror group that hates America, you can get a via very easily. So yes, I will miss not going back to see son in laws family, but they would not want us to come for our own safety.
