Newlyweds Prince William and Duchess Catherine were seen leaving Buckingham Palace earlier today. They walked hand-in-hand from the Queen's home, where they had stayed following last night's reception, The Telegraph reports.

According to the Official Royal Wedding web site, the couple, who departed via helicopter, are not heading out on their honeymoon... yet:

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance. The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon."

There are rumors that their weekend trip will likely be to a royal residence in Scotland, possibly Balmoral.

The duchess wore a pleated blue dress with skinny black belt paired with a collarless jacket and wedges, while William sported a pale blue button-down and navy jacket with khakis.

Palace staff reportedly carried out their luggage, which included a bouquet of white flowers.

Mine doesn't say anything about them staying in a helicopter. They must have fixed it because of all the comments!

England is the size of one of our 50 states. The USA is protecting England, not to mention most countries of the world.

From what I have seen and smelt...most Brit's are not too keen on personal hygiene, i.e. not using soap, women not shaving themselves, bad breath & teeth, the males are not circumcised, "Yuck!"

Most of the men act half gay and they are truly boring people. Just watch British cinema if you can't sleep. Geez!

Absolutely wonderful, they'll be on their honeymoon this first year and hopefully, this joy will last them throughout their lifetime as man & wife! Priorities, he's military and has obligations to fulfill, it's understandable they delay an official honeymoon. Right now, it's good to have the quiet time within the compound of the Royal Palace, perhaps being with her parents and family,or going away for a few days alone, whatever they do, it should be quiet, they deserve to have their privacy and should they want to speak after the "Honeymoon" then so be it! Let them alone, let this young couple have the joy and fun getting to know each other as "Husband & Wife!"

I like how ignorant people call the Brits boring...people who've never been to England most likely..Fyi....London has the best theatre...and i mean real theatre not what we here call movies...they are usually ahead in fashion...they public phone boxes are like computers while ours here are still at the put a quarter in stage..and when it comes to night life they have some of the best clubs...and oh don't hear gunshots outside your window most nights....maybe boring ain't so bad after all...

I meant "what a wonderful young couple" !! I know a Special Star in Heaven twinkled brighter seeing these two. Prince William is just what his Mum hoped for - Royal but down to earth too. Same goes for Prince Harry. Could he have smiled any brighter for his brother? Just thinking of this wedding makes my heart melt. I feel good inside. Good people - Grand proceedings. Just a wonderful hopeful event. And two kisses on the balcony!! What a treat!
