According to the Official Royal Wedding web site, the couple, who departed via helicopter, are not heading out on their honeymoon... yet:
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance. The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon."
There are rumors that their weekend trip will likely be to a royal residence in Scotland, possibly Balmoral.
The duchess wore a pleated blue dress with skinny black belt paired with a collarless jacket and wedges, while William sported a pale blue button-down and navy jacket with khakis.
Palace staff reportedly carried out their luggage, which included a bouquet of white flowers.

ReplyThey left Buckingham Palace, where they stayed the night (comma), in a helicopter (paraphrasing).... original sentence correctly written, although awkwardly written, is confusing. Where are they going? Perhaps to do something charitable .... remember Diana is looking down. William and Kate will seem to represent the modern monarchy.
ReplyThere will always be someone who has to make foolish comments on any and all subjects as evidenced here but I ignore them. They must not have anything better to do in their lives. I think the whole celebration of the royal wedding day itself has meant so much to England especially. This country has undergone threats and hidden bombs and traitors in the past few years, which is so sad and I grieve for them, so it's such a wonderfully special time for the citizens and visitors to get together just like it's a big party in the park, as one lady said. I wish William and Katherine the best in all of their lives and much love and happiness in everything. I agree that Queen Elizabeth looked stunning. At the age of 85 she has certainly been a fine royal lady and I enjoy seeing her anytime there's a story about England. She and Philip are a handsome couple.
ReplyThey walked hand in hand from the queens home. where they stayed following last nights reception. How hard is it for some of you on here to not read this. Some folk on here say they stayed in a helicopter even said that's how they thought it read. maybe you need your reading glasses or just maybe your having the onset of dementia or Alzheimer or maybe your just plain stupid. No offense to anyone who has any medical conditons. I just get disgusted when peoiple comment and they really have not read or can't actually read things correctly and then they make stupid comments..

ReplyThe future King of England and his bride, of course they would have a lavious style wedding and the Dutchess would wear the finest made dresses available, it is to be expected. With all the adulations given I think we need to keep things in perspective

ReplyHer brother was there. He was speaking with Prince William at the beginning before the bride arrived. After all, the Spencer family is/are grand parents, uncles and aunts, and cousins to the two young princes. They should have been there and high on the guest list.
The couple just told you that he was going back to work. Actually they went on a honeymoon. These folks are royals.

ReplyWilliam is a search and rescue helicopter pilot and is going back to work on Tuesday.
They have been going together for 7yrs...already had marriage and honeymoon. A mockery of marriage.
