According to the Official Royal Wedding web site, the couple, who departed via helicopter, are not heading out on their honeymoon... yet:
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week. The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance. The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon."
There are rumors that their weekend trip will likely be to a royal residence in Scotland, possibly Balmoral.
The duchess wore a pleated blue dress with skinny black belt paired with a collarless jacket and wedges, while William sported a pale blue button-down and navy jacket with khakis.
Palace staff reportedly carried out their luggage, which included a bouquet of white flowers.

day.
Replyi was surprised to see how bald william is getting.
ReplyOh what a truly regal affair! I am still watching the ceremony over and over. Catherine looked stunning - very regal, princess-like and did a wonderful job of standing up to the day's activities. And Prince William - who doesn't love that man? Oh my, wish I was Kate Middleton! What a hunk. Beautiful ceremony and I wish them a long and lasting marriage. With love.
Reply"Walking hand in hand, William and Kate left Buckingham Palace, where they stayed the night, in a helicopter." Yep folks, that's how the teaser headline read. The royal couple spent the night in a helicopter. Is it any wonder that people are constantly complaining about the "journalists" who write for AOL and its news contributors. Their news is always poorly written, pathetic and laughable. And since being taken over by Huffington it's gotten worse.
ReplyWith the punctuation as it is, it's clear what was meant--however, I agree it is written poorly. The headline however--"Prince William and Kate Middleton..." is completely wrong. She is no long Kate Middleton, as she was married yesterday!
Good point Sally.......new title now for the new bride. And the rest of us around the world need to read and hear the specific title she's been given, so we know what to refer to her as because it's not part of our social/cultural structure.
One more comment. If, indeed, the royal couple spent the night in a helicopter I hope she enjoyed playing with the joystick.
ReplyMichelle Obama needs to take tips from the new Dutchess on both what to wear and when to wear it. This girl ALWAYS looks awesome, and appropriate. Both things Michelle needs to learn
ReplyWhat a stupid comment! Why bring Michelle Obama into it. First, Michelle Obama always looks nice. She is also twice the age of Kate. She also makes her own money and doesn't live off someone else's.
I find it interesting that you would make a stupid comment about Michelle Obama and here dress. What does The First Lady have to do with this couple's special day? Perhaps you should ask yourself, what you would look like? I would think you are some sort of fat person with very low self esteem that sits around all day fantasizing on wanting to get into a dress that Michelle can get into. I am sure you truly would not be able to get into the Duchess's clothes. Stick with the subject at hand losers.
It's a White Thing
Moose & Squirrel were not invited for just the thing you mention. Well, that & their complete ignorance of protocol.

why did they spend the night in a helocopter?
ReplyIt does not read that they spent the night in a helicopter. They stayed at the Queen's home last night, THEN departed in a helicopter. I wouldn't be surprised if they picked America for a honeymoon location.
ReplyWedding was absolutely beautiful and everybody looked amazing!!!
Replythat's not how I read it.
ReplyYou would think there would be room in the palace, instead of staying all night in a helacopter.Maybe these kids are very shy? They said they didn't even want any servants...!!
