That makes three titles each for the royal couple.
According to The Telegraph, dukedom is the highest rank in the British peerage.

Why is this news FIRST on the agenda when tornados tore up 1/2 our nation? This homely couple is just another couple of uppity actors of superiority that we don't want to hear about. We have real people with with issues to deal with. This is a childish 'fairy tale' joke. The Brittish are greedy arrogant know it alls.

ReplyI am honestly shocked at how many negative comments there are on here. There are so few happy things in the news these days, why anyone would berate 2 people in love is mind boggling. As far as how much this wedding cost---this is how the royals do it. England has a regal house, and a royal wedding comes with much pomp and circumstance, that's just how it is. Why would any Americans give a rat's azz how much the wedding cost the "taxpayers"? First of all, the crown is paying for this wedding, not the "taxpayers". And, the fact that they recalled troops from Afghanistan---who cares? Any country that has troops in the Middle East is wasting billions and trillions of dollars anyway----there is nothing being accomplished there, and the minute all troops leave, they will revert right back to the way it was before any troops got there. Where do we get off trying to force our democratic system on countries that don't want it? When WMD were not found, and they couldn't get Osama Bin Laden, all troops should have gotten out of there. Now, that is a colossal waste of money!!! The number of people out there that are just miserable and negative, and who have nothing else to do but express themselves in negative and degrading words and are unable to see the positive in anything is mind boggling. Misery loves company, that is what they say. I guess it's true.
ReplyI can't say that I'm into all of this royal stuff, but they seem like a nice couple, and with all of the things that Harry and William have had to endure, I'm happy for them. And all of the nasty, negative comments are just ridiculous. What would you rather read about, the Obama regime, Trump's blog, the earthquake and radiation from Japan, the deadly storms in the south? At least this is something upbeat and positive, and a little interesting. I'm sick of all of the horrendous negative crap all of the time. And the issues with Japan are sick. Maybe had they not built nuclear plants on a tiny island, subject to many earthquakes and natural disasters, our whole world wouldn't be in danger of global contamination.

um...no william has never worked at walmart, but he IS an active member of the british miliatary; as is his brother henry, who served in iraq until his "cover" was blown by the media...making his unit a high value target...they both also do humanitarian work in africa heading non profit organizations...

He has gone around the world doing charity work, raising millions for those less fortunate, and he is a Search & Rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force, risking his life to save others. ReplyIt's always mindboggling how cruel and cold people can be. Yes, there are deficits faced by many countries around the world, and tragedy and horrors take place everyday and will continue to take place. Regardless, this couple is now married and will have a good life. And, if those in Britain don't agree with how things are running in their country, well, you have the option of moving. People are always bent on belittling and mocking such nice events and it's rather saddening. Smile a bit, it won't hurt. And if you're tired of the coverage of this wedding and events leading up to it, change the channel or divert your eyes. Or better yet, go back to the multitude of moronic programming that is shown nowadays. Sheesh. It's not like Medusa has gazed upon you and frozen you in place. -shakes head-
ReplyThey seem to be a nice down to earth couple. And personally I would rather watch this wedding than hear about Michelle Obama's "fake" style. She has none. Or the Prez with all his celebrity and sports guests. Please!!! How about some down to earth behavior at the White House. It's the peoples house but apparently regular peasants don't get invited.
