Singer Joss Stone, Mario Testino, who shot the couple's engagement photographs, and "Mr. Bean" Rowan Atkinson, a friend of Prince Charles, will also be among the 1,900-person crowd.
But not everyone RSVP'ed yes. The King of Cambodia turned down his coveted invitation due to "another important engagement," the Daily Mail reports. Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa will be in attendance, even though human rights activists say the prince should not be allowed to attend because of a recent brutal crackdown against pro-democracy demonstrators in his country.
Other foreign royals include the King of Swaziland, the King of Tonga, Prince Constantine of Greece, the Queen of Spain and Sheikh Ahmad Hmoud Al-Sabah of Kuwait. As palace officials explained, only crowned heads of states are traditionally invited, and not political leaders, such as President Obama.
As for seating, Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the royal family will sit in the front row. Across the aisle will be Kate's family and friends, who are positioned in the "north lantern" section of the Abbey. Also included in this area, along with the bride's side of the family, is the Earl Spencer, Prince William's uncle. There had been some debate as to where Princess Diana's brother would be placed, given his strained relationship with Prince Charles.
Over 900 of the attendees will have restricted views of the altar, and will have to watch the service via video screens.
