Mother Teresa popped up in a cinnamon bun. Jesus, a pizza. And now Kate Middleton has surfaced on a... jelly bean?
Wesley Hosie and his girlfriend Jessica White of Somerset, England, spied the future princess' face in their bag of beans. Her long hair, dark eyes and faint grin were peering at them like a pixelated image among the red blotches on the yellow mango-flavored confection.
"As Jessica opened the jar, I saw her immediately," Hosie told The Telegraph. "She was literally lying there staring back at me."
With royal wedding frenzy at a fever pitch, the couple are expecting the penny candy to fetch them some serious dough. They aim to auction off the treat on eBay for over $800.
"Given that the royal wedding is only a few weeks' away, we hope to make a few pounds out of it by selling it on the internet to a collector," Hosie explained.
Richard Cullen of the Jelly Bean Factory, maker of the speckled sweet, said: "This sounds truly incredible, I would have to see the bean myself to believe it!"
