"We've opened up the voting so that subjects in every nation can judge past and present monarchs, as well as duchesses, princes and princesses in waiting -- in a history-making beauty contest," Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com told The Telegraph. "In any other century we'd have our heads chopped off for treason. We're not antimonarchy; we're just anti-ugly people."
You could say that Hodge is a bit of a good-looks expert. To become a member of his site, applicants must be voted in. Only those who gain enough thumbs-ups are granted access.
As for the royal beauty pageant, Princess Grace of Monaco, Queen Rania of Jordan, Princess Diana and Prince William's fiancée have all earned "beautiful" status, Prince William of Wales is trending towards "Hmmm OK" and Prince Harry of Wales has a received a mixed bag of reviews. The site will release the final results on April 19.
