Unsurprisingly, the Choir of Westminster Abbey as well as the Chapel Royal Choir will both be performing. Also on the program is the London Chamber Orchestra, the Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force and the State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry.
The Choir of Westminster Abbey is comprised of 20 young boys and 12 adult singers. The Chapel Royal Choir, meanwhile, is made up of only 10 boys and 6 adult singers known as "Gentlemen-in-Ordinary," which is just about the most British phrase we've ever heard.
As for the Fanfare Team, they're a group of seven from the Royal Air Force who juggle their musical duties with their responsibilities overseas as part of the British military defense. The same is true of the State Trumpeters of the Household Cavalry; all army musicians can be called upon at any time to act as individual augmentee soldiers in support of British military operations around the world.
The official royal wedding site promises additional information about the performers at both the ceremony and reception closer to the date of the wedding. The above is only a partial list. Just a tease, you might say. We wouldn't be surprised if the complete list includes some big name, international celebrities...
