Royal Engagement Portraits
The future Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh announced their engagement and posed for these engagement portraits at Buckingham Palace in July 1947.
In February 1981, the future King of England and his bride announced their engagement and posed for photos at Buckingham Palace, as the groom's parents did 34 years earlier.
After the press conference and photo shoot announcing their engagement, Prince Charles and his bride posed for more "casual" engagement portraits in a studio.

The couple then posed for pictures in the State Apartments of St. James's Palace. The bride wore a blue dress by ISSA, which sold out within hours of this press conference.
