After announcing their royal engagement via Twitter and a formal statement from Clarence House, Prince William and Catherine "Kate" Middleton sat down for a television interview.

The groom shared how he had been planning to propose for some time and wanted to give Kate his mother's, Princess Diana's, engagement ring.
